The purpose of Calvert Meals on Wheels is threefold:

1. To provide one hot, home-delivered meal, five days a week, to those who, due to illness, advanced age, or disability are unable to provide proper meals for themselves.

2. To enable the homebound to live independently as long as possible.

3. To relieve the isolation and loneliness of the homebound.

 

ORGANIZATION

BOARD OF DIRECTORS:

Calvert Meals on Wheels, Inc. is run by a Board of Directors, a working group which has active participation in the operation of the program, as well as the policy-making responsibilities. The officers and the Board, whether elected or ex-officio members, do not receive any type of compensation for their services.
