All our meals are delivered by volunteers in the community. We are always in the need for volunteers to drive or assist in delivering the meals. Our Drivers and Helpers do not receive any compensation for their services. Our Drivers have to provide their own transportation and pay for their own gas and expenses. It is their wonderful and loving devotion to helping others that has made Calvert Meals on Wheels, Inc. a success for over 20 years.

Volunteering:

We do not require our volunteers to donate a certain amount of days each month. Each driver can decide for him or herself, how many days they would like to drive. Some drive once a month, others two, three or more times a month. Some drivers alternate with someone else and drive every other month. It's up to you! Delivery takes anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours. Pick up is anytime between 10:30AM and 11:30AM Monday thru Friday.
